20 Reasons Why I Love Schnauzers   2 comments

20. How can you not giggle at a snoring schnauzer?

19. My schnauzer will let me know if anything, and I mean anything, tries to get anywhere near my house.

18. Joie de vivre.

17. Their independent spirit, and that it only lasts as long as Mom is in the same room.

16. Treatballs and greedy dogs.

15. Absolute fascination with birds, squirrels, rabbits, frogs, and anything small.

14. Total confidence in staring down much larger dogs. “I can take him, Mom. Let me at him!”

13. Belly rubs. Or as we call them in our house, “Grooming Sessions”

12. Complete and utter disregard for decorum when Mom comes home.

11. The way they wag their entire body, not just their tail.

10. Tug-o-war

9. Diminutive stature. Miss D is big at 20 lbs, but I can still pick her up if when she starts causing trouble.

8. I’ve got spurs tags that jingle jangle jingle.

7. Bath time!

6. The clickity-clack of puppy dog nails as they scramble across the kitchen linoleum.

5. Squeaky toys

4. Goofy doggie smiles

3. Their sense of playfulness and clownishness

2. They rarely complain about the sweaters I knit for them and make them wear 😀

and the number one reason I love schnauzers is…

1. Beards, wet noses, bat ears, and stumpy tails!1. Beards, wet noses, bat ears, and stumpy tails.
